What is RTO?

Registered Training Organisation (RTO) is an institution or organisation in Australia; officially
registered with Australian Skills Quality Authority. RTOs are providing nationally recognised
training, basically Vocational Education and Training (VET). Vet is offered by RTOs, equips the
students with practical skills and knowledge tailored to meet the industry demands.

Under standing the key regulatory body:

Australian Skills Quality Authority: The main regulatory body ensuring the quality and
compliance for the RTO.
Training Accreditation Council: Providing training and accreditation course, also ensuring
it meets all the quality standards.
RTO Compliance: There are basically three types of audits that ensures the RTO compliance. First through the initial registration audits; this is done upon receipt of an application for initial registration. The second during the renewal of the RTO registration and the third when applying to change the scope of registration. RTOs must continue to meet all the VET framework standards to maintain their registration status.
