Recently, on 23rd December 2022. ASQA approved the transition period to be extended. This extension of the transition period is for MEM30305 Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade, the extension is also applied to all RTOs that are delivering the “patternmaking specialisation”. This is limited to currently enrolled students. Furthermore, the transition period is being extended longer than the details of Clause 1.26 (a), (b), and (c) that were stated previously in RTO standards 2015.
The decision is supported by the Skills Service Organisation – IBSA in terms of the end date for the transition of this qualification and its cohort.
To be more specific, the transition period will be extended until 31st January 2024, this also includes the training, assessment, and certificate issuance period of this qualification.
This qualification mentioned above will be remaining on ASQA’s registered RTO’s scope of registration until the end of the extended transition period. Unless RTO decides to withdraw the qualifications from its scope.
