Junior Consultant
Position overview:
In Australia, Canada, and New Zealand, an organisation is required to be registered with regulators prior to delivering its training and assessment to students. This organisation will be referred to as a registered training organisation (RTOs). As an RTO Consultant, you will provide assistance and advice to the compliance and management teams in Australian educational institutes. The assistance and advice will be provided based on the regulatory requirements (e.g., the Standards for RTOs 2015, national code 2018, etc.). Moreover, the consultant will provide managerial consultation services, which includes processes such as RTO registration, scope modification and performance assessments.
The position does not require the candidate to have any existing knowledge of legislations. The company will provide training sessions to assist you in completing tasks.
Role and Responsibilities:
Compliance Support:
- Collaborate with senior consultants to ensure RTOs adhere to national regulatory frameworks and standards.
- Assist in conducting compliance audits, identifying gaps, and proposing solutions for improvement.
- Participate in documentation and reporting of compliance activities.
Curriculum Enhancement:
- Collaborate with senior consultants to contribute to the design and development of industry-aligned training programs and curriculum.
Client Communication:
- Interact with clients, supporting them with clear and concise guidance on compliance.
- Support clients in preparing for audits and assessments, ensuring their understanding of requirements.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Participate in building relationships with government agencies, industry partners, and stakeholders.
- Attend meetings and discussions to gather insights and stay updated on industry developments.
Project Support:
- Contribute to various projects focused on RTO operations, documentation, and improvement initiatives.
Quality Assurance Support:
- Learn to establish and maintain quality assurance systems for training and assessment processes.
- Assist in the review and improvement of assessment strategies to ensure competency measurement.
Attributes and qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher
- Experience and background: any experience in educational setting, roles involving compliance is beneficial.
- Basic Compliance knowledge: Knowledge or regulatory and compliance requirements within the educational or vocational sector is advantageous.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for effective communication interacting with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
- Analytical Abilities: Developing analytical skills to assess compliance gaps and contribute to problem-solving efforts.
- Team Collaboration: An ability to work effectively within a team environment and collaborate on project.
- Time Management: Effective time allocation and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
